Pilgrim’s worship assistants help the pastor with his duties during the service. Personal, one-on-one training is provided for all those interested in serving as worship assistants. Download the September Worship Leader Schedule.
- Acolytes: Acolytes light and extinguish the candles, handle the offering plates and collect the small communion chalices. Both adults and children are welcome to serve as acolytes. Learn More
- Lay Readers/Assistants & Communion Assistants: Lay Assistants typically read the first two scripture lessons, say an offering prayer, commune the pastor and handle a tray of small chalices during communion. You can also choose to serve as a reader without serving communion. On the second Sunday of each month during the 10:45 AM service, Communion Assistants help with continuous line communion by handling the common cup or a tray of small chalices.
- Ushers: Ushers assist with distributing and/or collecting bulletins, attendance pads and offering plates. Ushers also assist with setting up the communion rail and directing communion participants.
